I am basically a Biotech major but now currently working on a Bioinformatics project. Can anyone tell me if there is a software which can design very small peptide polymers that can fit into the 3D active site of a protein. The software should be more like a docking software but I want it to design short peptides which can fit into the active site of a protein of known 3D structure.
I have a BS in Applied Computer Science, and I was thinking about pursuing an MS in Bioinformatics. However, I have little interest in pursuing a PHd. Do you need a PHd in order to land a real job in this field?
I have a bachelor degree in Economics and most people expect me to work at a bank or government but given that I have great passion for high-tech, biotech and internet products, I work for a big internet company instead.
Now, I want to change my career to biotech. I see myself as an entrepreneur in the biotech field in 5-10 years from now and I finally gather strengths to make this decision knowing that I will have to start probably from the beginning.
What are the next steps? Can I take a Master without undergraduate? Or should I take an undergraduate degree and later PhD?
Also, which course should I take? Biology? Bioinformatics? Any other suggestion?

I have majors in Biological Sciences as well as in Computer Science. I have equal interest in both fields- i love working on the computer, programming as well as love experimenting in bio labs and working with DNA etc. Now I am faced with a question – whether to continue in the biotech field or bioinformatics. Which has better scope, pay etc.
