Mine’s the computer. I love how all of you bozos are sitting their on your keisters, using the computer to log on to Yahoo Answers, and still denying the theory of evolution when without its understanding computers wouldn’t have functioned.

There’s also: Modern antibiotics, DNA fingerprinting and bioinformatics, modern knowledge in animal and plant breeding, modern understanding of genes, psychology, ethics, etc.

Choose wisely, ya bastards.

Lol.
Mr. Ducky – lol I’m such a biology nerd too.
Fuzzy – while I doo like too drink, my off and on buzz doesn’t make me stupid enoguh to forget how to act SARCASTIC.

I know the difference. Stop being my BUZZkill.

In some of the responses to the linked question people used the label “suicidal christians’.
In my opinion to not be a Christian is suicidal.
I believe in eternal life beyond this one. Earth is not my souls final resting place. All Christians believe that way. So how is it considered suicidal to be killed by someone else on this earth.
1. We are not killing ourselves
2. The intent has nothing to do with ending our lives but standing up for God and Christ Jesus.
Merriam Websters defines suicide as:/
1 a: the act or an instance of taking one’s own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound mind b: ruin of one’s own interests c: apoptosis 2: one that commits or attempts suicide./
According to this definition, to deny our beliefs would be political suicide.
I am not talking about the question. I am talking about the answers to the question.

I happen to be a type 1 Diabetic. Will I have the pleasure and joy of having some limbs chopped off and a couple of sexy strokes because the sky daddy wouldn’t want scientists to touch the petri dish?

Heck, maybe I got Type 1 Diabetes because Jesus was mad at me, so this might be my fault all of the way. Was it the Playboy I bought when I was 17?

Here is what I don’t understand. If you are a Christian and you feel that certain things are wrong according to your beliefs thats fine. But why must you want to make it a law for everyone?

Examples : Paligamy. If consenting adults want to live together then why is it your right to tell them no?

Pornography: Consenting adults watching other consenting adults have sex. Where does your right to control other adults come into this?

Uthanasia : Again, consenting adults choosing what to do with their lives, which includes ending it. Why do you feel you have the right to tell others who don’t believe what you do, that they can’t?

StemCell Research: I want this research done to save me from my future illness. You think that using cells from an already discarded embryo is wrong?

Basically, I just want to know where you get off tell other people what they can and can’t do in a free society?
All of these things involving parties that chose to participate. MURDER and ROBBERY do not!!!!!

This question is for creationists. Let’s put aside all logic and reason for a minute and assume creationism is true and evolution is false for the sake of argument.

Now that you have your way, what do you suggest we do?
– Do you suggest that medical researchers abandon their work in trying to find cures and vaccines for ever-changing diseases and infections?
– Do you suggest geneticists stop their research to isolate the genes that cause Down Syndrome or lactose intolerance etc?
– Do you want farmers to stop using selective breeding to produce higher-yielding crops and livestock to accommodate our ever-increasing population?
– Do you want software designers to stop using evolutionary algorithms to solve complex multi-dimensional problems?
– Do you want scientists to abandon sex-allocation theory and stop trying to save endangered species?
– Should we abandon Bioinformatics, a multi-billion-dollar industry?
Jesus loves Ann Coulter: This isn’t about atheism. This is about applications of evolution science.
Selective breeding is a technique that utilizes understanding of genetics such as dominant and recessive genes to produce offspring with desirable traits.
You can still practice medicine as a theist but you cannot fight disease without an understanding of evolution.

Regarding species extinction, you assume that all extinctions are caused by nature. Some species are going extinct due to human actions such as cutting down rain forests.

When you have some solid scientific evidence for creationism, rather than God of the gaps reasoning, then you can present your facts in a science class in schools.

Christians (among others) have shown that they are vehemently opposed to stencell research. They claim its immoral and goes against their God’s law. Ok, lets go with their line of thinking then. If Christians really feel this way then, when stemcell research, starts figuring out to correct abnormalities in humans, starts successfully treating previously deadly diseases and is able to fix anything wrong with a fetus, the Christians should not be allowed to use ANY of this technology. Agree or Not and Why?
@arewe. Um, you need to re-read my topic again…slowly. Try to pay attention this time.
@arewe. You know what, I’ll humor you. The Pope is vehemently opposed to Embryonic Stemcell Research. There, are you satisfied now?
You know I have to wonder how many of you have even taken a Biology course. I often hear “aborted fetus’ and such. Here’s a little lesson. A woman is born with all of her eggs at birth. The female body does not create new eggs. And if every one of these eggs actually became a baby then, we would have a heck of an overpopulation issue on this planet. Stemcell research is simply harvesting the unused eggs. They wouldn’t have been born anyway. So whats the problem?

When it comes to any issue at all. Gays, Stemcell Research, oh and the war. Why’s Bush doing this, because he’s doing God’s will, or at least I think he’d say it if he were allowed.
