Which looks better for med school? Isn’t better to major in biochem because it’s half bio and half chem and it’s a bit more challenging then Biology major? Plus there are too many Biology major out there? What major do you recommend for med school, Biology or Biochemistry major?

So, I’m currently a biochemistry/cell biology major,but I don’t see myself getting a career from that major unless I go to medical school.

Well, what i’m asking is is having a biology major better or a chemistry major?
Right now i am in the Medical Microbiology and Immunology program, which studies more of the causes of infectious disease (on a molecular level).
All i could think of is nursing, medical school, or physicians assistant program.
What other options can you think of?
I want to get into virology and immunology. Im not sure what classes I need to take Im a freshman starting off at a community college and then transferring to another school . Im also not sure what other school would be good to transfer to. what do I need to get here? I am planning to stay in San Antonio, TX , i’ve always wanted to do research with monkeys too.
