And what schools are the best to major in biochemistry? I’m leaning on Berkeley…

I don’t know whether I should double major in Bioinformatics and Mathematics or instead double major in Molecular Biology and Mathematics and have a Computer Science minor. I’m an undergraduate and my main focus is to gain as much information and core knowledge as I can in biology (especially genetics and epigenetics), computer science, and mathematics. Which of the two options do you think would offer me a greater background to be able to perform new cutting-edge research in graduate school and later on?

I will be going off to college in August. Currently, My major is Microbiology with minors in Chemistry and Secondary Education.
Chemistry is a “free” minor because the Chem classes are required for my major.
Micro/Chem currently has me taking 13 to 16 hours a semester, including classes I hope to test out of. These are three math classes, my two English classes, a speech class, and introduction to biology.
In HS, I have a 4.0 GPA, top of class of 12 students(SMALL school), with a 30 on my ACT.

For any of you that have experience with this, do you think I can fit a secondary ed. minor in there?
If I can do that, I would have the option of working in medical research or industry, with teaching HS science as a fallback. I definitely want to have a fallback.

Any help or input is greatly appreciated!!!

I’m planing to major in Biochemistry and minor in Nutrition Science.

Is that a good combo, or should I minor in something different than nutrition?

I’m not planing to go to medical, dental nor pharmacy school. Probably do graduate work . What are some jobs that I could do with that major???

thanks

The minor is going to be in computer science, and I also wanted to know what do minors exactly do? Would I have a better change of getting in a professional school? Could I do something in the minor field or would i need to major in that field?
I am already bilingual, in a dialet of hindi, and I don’t want to minor in another language. I have an interest in computers and psychology. I wanted to know if i do something in computers what would be the benifits?

Rather than choosing a minor based on my interest, what would be a good minor to choose that would be helpful and benefit me for my major, in this case biochemistry? I need ideas. Thanks!

I want to study Music in my Undergraduate, yet have options, such as Med school when I complete my Undergraduate degree. I figured the best way to do this would be to get a double major in Piano and Voice and a minor in Biochemistry. What Canadian University would allow me do this? Thanks!

I start college this August and will be majoring in microbiology. the only thing I might want to minor in is environmental science. The recommended minor is chemistry but I hate chemistry. :( Any suggestions?
Edit. My microbiology major only requires 3 chemistry courses included in it. Chemistry minor tacks on like 5 more.

I’ve heard genetics isn’t worth going for unless it’s a major, and I’m not really sure what else to go for.

I was thinking some other kind of biology, but not entirely sure.
