I’m doing my Msc in plant biotechnology in Malaysia,I wanna continue it in Ca.I prefer Vancouver for first choice. which universities in Ca I can apply ?

I’m guess it’s genetically modified plants. What are the pro and cons? I need help with a research paper. Please help. thank you?

My Umbrella plant seems to be gravely ill. Just a month ago, the leaves started to develop reddish brown mottled coloring and the leaves are crinkled and shriveled. With each new incoming branch/leaf set, the crinkling and coloring gets worse, and the growth is extremely slow compared to when I first acquired the plant. Now, the buds have stopped fully developing altogether. Once the little leaves fan out, the base of the branch has an apoptosis party, the bud is cut off completely from the plant, blackens, and shrivels away. There were two neighboring plants that had mites, but I have inspected the umbrella plant and have found no traces of webbing, eggs, or mites. What is wrong with my poor plant?

i am interested to work with secondary metabolites in plants.so anything new which would be helpful to all humans that i need.

10 points for best answer!

I´m finding for a man who offer a doctoral position in molecular biology of plant microorganism interaction or soil metagenomics research

I’ve been trying to look for a good database of plants that has their basic characteristics, along with some information about their genetics.
Does anyone know of a resource that is almost like Wikipedia but also contains information as to:
1. Whether the plant is a diploid, haploid, polyploid.
2. The number of chromosomes that plant has in each cell.

I’ve searched for a while now with nothing surfacing and thought I’d try you guys.

Thanks!
