I’m a non-US Bioengineering student specializing in Bioinformatics. How much GPA will I need to be admitted to Johns Hopkins, Georgia Tech or UC San Diego Biomedical Engineering or Bioinformatics with scholarship ? Thanks.
Give me a list of U.S. universities offering MS course in Bioinformatics and preferrably with course fee.
Please list any sources.
Thanks.
1. Scientists under whose guidance a PhD can be obtained in Wildlife Conservation Genetics
2. The course-work should involve a lot of field-oriented research
3. A variety of projects involving extensive field and laboratory work
I already know about ANU, I just need to know if there are any more. That are Good.
I have always wanted to go to an Ivy League such as Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, UPenn, etc to advance in a career of Microbiology and Immunology.
I’m only in Grade 10 now, but I’m taking Grade 11 Sciences such as Biology 11, Chemistry 11, and other Honors Classes.
I have a 4.0+ GPA ( I’m not sure exactly how to calculate it if it does go over the 4.0 mark ).
I’m currently actively involved in a Student Union Club and model UN.
I also hope to volunteer at the hospital when I’m of age ( regulation is 16+). It will be more than a couple months before I turn 16 so I’m applying at the aquarium, conservations sites, etc. for the meantime.
On the side of that I’m on a Gymnastics team, Ballet Classes, and a Pianist.
Next year I will be taking 3-4 AP courses : Psycology AP, European History AP, Biology AP, and possibly Chemistry AP or another subject ( undecided ).
Standardized Testing is also extremely important. So I’m starting to study for SAT, SAT II Subject Tests, and the ACT now. So hopefully I will acheive a great score. I ‘assume’ that I’ll be placing somewhere around a 2200/2400 SAT score and hopefully a 30+ ACT. I know that there’s really no way of guarenteeing these marks but If I start studying now; there will be a greater chance that I’ll acheive them.
I’m from Vancouver, BC, Canada
I’m also applying at some Canadian Universities like UofT, UBC, etc.
I also will definately be needing financial aid. My parents are upper middle class but they cannot afford such high tuition rates like shelling out $50,000 + a year.
Do I have a chance of getting into schools like …
Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, UPenn, Brown, Princeton
or other prestigious schools such as
Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, etc. ?
What can I personally do to ‘up’ my chances ???
Please give me feedback !
PS. IGNORE ALL TYPO ERRORS AND PARAGRAPH STRUCTURE ERRORS. I HAD TO TYPE THIS IN A RUSH ; (
I have credits in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology. Wondering if actual universities will put these credits towards a degree.
I am looking for the universities / institutes in India and specially near Pune where M Sc in Applied Microbiology can be done from. How is the entrance exam and what are the ways to enter. Approx costs if available. Additional information on Job prospects after the course shall be welcome.
